Transcription of Recordings of Legal Proceedings
It is easy to review transcribed material. Furthermore, transcription makes it possible to use electronic search methods if you want to find a specific point of the text. In legal transcription, the speakers will be identified by their last names, and the chairperson will be marked as “Chairperson”. Going through and making observations directly from recorded witness statements is challenging, which is why it is recommended to transcribe them. Material from trials are usually transcribed as clean verbatim or full verbatim.
